Women take to the Runway for The Women’s Home
Models took to the runway for a sold out show at the Wortham Theater for The Women’s Home Renew & Redux Fashion Show and Shopping event on Wednesday August 20. The emcee for the evening was Rita Garcia of FOX 26. Among the 21 volunteer models strutting ensembles composed by design team Lenny Matuszewski and Tamara Bonar, were Lori Freese, Phyllis Williams, Andy Cerota, Sneha Merchant, Scott Weaver and Karina Barbieri.
Guests raised $122,000 which benefited the residents of The Women’s Home.
The fashion conscious crowd shopped at the pop up boutique stocked with generous donations from friends of The Women’s Home as well as some pieces from the Home’s Cottage Shop in Montrose. Fashion forward attendees were Cindy Farmer, Caroline Kenney, Joanne King Herring, Mandy Kao, Farida Abjani, Connie Kwan Wong, Shefali Tejani, Cindi Rose, Maryam Afshari, Ryan Korsgard, and Kent Shaffer. Event goers were treated during their shopping sprees with fresh delights from The Fish and the Knife and Seasons. Guests raised $122,000 which benefited the residents of The Women’s Home.
