A Wine Tasting Soirée for First Responders
Grace & Guidance, Cellar 24 owner Shelli Moran, and The Woodlands Union hosted its monthly charity wine tasting event benefiting The Woodlands Firefighters Foundation. The evening was targeted to raising money for first responder counseling services.
“It’s very alarming and a matter of concern, the increasing number of deaths by suicide within the First Responder professions, and we need to start the dialogue to help them,” explains owner of Grace & Guidance Wellness licensed professional counselor Lona Snell.
“We are specifically raising money for behavioral health education and clinical services for First Responders,” she added.
The Foundation is a 501c3 that supports ALL First Responders serving in The Woodlands and throughout Montgomery County in their time of need.
More than twenty-five wines from around the world with charcuterie board and Zalat Pizza were generously donated.
Spotted supporting the evening were: State Rep Steve Toth, Jason Nelson From The Woodlands Township Board, Woodlands Fire Chief Palmer Buck and The Woodlands Fire Professional Firefighters Foundation President Erik Secrest, Conroe Union President Lloyd Sandefer, Lona Snell along with staff members Sasha Kotchavar and Jeanette Green, Walter Sassard representing Magnolia Fire Department, and Chief Wesley Cole from Northwest Volunteer Fire Department, Gabe Dominguez from Houston Fire Department, and others.
