Inspirational Rotary Woodlands Weekly Luncheon Brings Healthy Body and Mind Together
The Rotary Club of The Woodlands has a luncheon tradition to meet every Thursday at The Woodlands Country Club for an opportunity to hear from a selected keynote speaker. “Each meeting provides the guests (Rotarians and invited or walk-in guests, who are often non-Rotarians) to hear from a diverse range of speakers, from leaders and experts in fields such as aviation, local government, media and other non-profits,” explains Ann Wolford, Past President, Rotary Club of The Woodlands and The Woodlands Rotary Club Foundation.
In January, while guests enjoyed a lunch at the club, they had the opportunity to learn from keynote speaker Maria Ines Flores, an Olympic winner gymnast.
During the presentation she explained to attendees the importance of a nutrition program to maintain a balanced healthy lifestyle.
With about 186 members, The Rotary Club of The Woodlands believes strongly in “Service Above Self” and consistently provide influence in the community since the club was founded in 1975. “Whether it’s during the aftermath of a hurricane or a pandemic, Rotarians take pride in finding solutions to benefit humanity,” explains International Services Chair/Board Member, Will Warren.
