Neiman Marcus Hosts LCAHouston Winter Cover Reveal with Distinctive Men
Our very own Houston’s International media guru Ruchi Mukherjee decked out in a sultry black sari to mesmerize the crowd at her LCAHouston International Society News Magazine Winter Cover Reveal Party, hosted at The Chanel Couture Salon At Neiman Marcus in the Houston Galleria on December 12, 2018.
Nearly two decades after taking the helm as an international correspondent with media giants, including The Times of India and The Statesman, Ruchi has worked tirelessly for the community with her media promotion skills. She is popularly known as the “Lights Camera Action Girl” in the community. “It’s no joke that diversity is such a strong point for Houston. The community at large has so much to contribute and let’s not ignore the men of distinction in this city,” says Ruchi. This has been the exact vision for recent Winter Edition Cover. “We decided to feature some of Houston’s dynamic and diverse gentlemen from various walks of life,” adds Ms. Mukherjee. The six distinctive men Men on the Cover features Houston Media Icon Dave Ward, along with Shafik Rifaat, Gordon Quan, Kevin Murray, Dr. Waqar Khan and Travis Torrence. “It has been a pleasure to host LCAHouston’s special Winter Edition Cover Reveal Party at Neiman Marcus. It’s about diversity and inclusion,“ shared the new VP General Manager of Neiman Marcus Stephen Brunelle.
The evening was an elite crowd of Houston’s most fashionable men and women sipping champagne, enjoying holiday cheer and previewing LCAHouston’s new launch of its ‘Social Butterflies: Art of the Scarf’ Collection, where fashion meets tradition. “It‘s been my dream for a long time to present to the world the elegance of a silk sari with a fashionable practicality of a French Scarf,” said Ruchi. Walking through the streets of India and France, she found herself in a paradise of weavers transforming paper designs to gorgeous silks. “It’s not just about building a fashion business. It’s my goal to empower women by providing opportunities to skilled artisans in rural West Bengal, India. It’s an honor to host a trunk show at the prestigious and world renowned Neiman Marcus,” she added.
Among the well dressed guests attending this exclusive affair were: Dave Ward, Alice Mao, Travis Torrence, Dr. Waqar and Sarah Khan, Maha Rasheed Khan, Mona and Wasay Khan, Sadat Choudhry, Gordon Quan, KPRC Meteorologist Justin Stapleton, Swati Narayan, Kevin Murray, Kent Schaffer and Shara Kuy.
