Diversity Matters at the International Mothers’ Day Soirée Kick-off 2017 Honoree Announcement

It’s that time of the year again when LCA Houston gears up for its annual International Mothers’ Day Soirée. Neiman Marcus Mariposa restaurant in the galleria was bustling with a handful of special guests, media and LCA Houston International Society News magazine’s elite sponsors for its 5th Annual International Mothers’ Day Soirée kick-off party.

The idea of the soiree started as a column by our very own LCA Host, who wrote on ‘it’ moms of Houston for The Statesmen and The Times of India, and with the first event held in 2013, the International Mothers Day Soiree became the talk of the town. The mission behind this event is to empower and highlight women of various ethnic backgrounds and showcase Houston’s strong cultural values.

LCA Houston has had the opportunity to partner with renowned luxury brands such as Bvlgari, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Kilian Hennessy (personal appearance) as our 2016 Awards Presenter.

We are elated and honored to host our 5th year anniversary awards soirée at Asia Society Texas Center, at their 40,000-square-foot facility. We at LCA Houston’s International Mothers’ Day Soirée share a common vision of East and West thinking together and making the world a better place.

Like our publication the Soirée creates a global platform to bridge the ethnic community to show the best of both worlds. “Diversity Matters so we ask you to make a difference and be a part of this enchanting fun filled evening,” shares Ruchi Mukherjee.

This years honorees are very accomplished and have established a name for themselves in the Houston community for their societal contributions and both professional and personal achievements. At the kick-off, honorees dressed in shades of pink, a Kick-off tradition, and guests sporting every top designer as Neiman Marcus’ Stacey Swift made the announcement of the 2017 Honorees:

Bring out your bangles, bindis and Bhangra, the 2017 5th Annual Soirée, will be a Bollywood Chic themed event hosted at the Asia Society Texas Center on May 11th with Co-Chair Shawntell McWilliams and Auction Chair Rebecca Brinkley from Akris and Emcee Andy Cerota, KPRC Channel 2 along side a surprise guest emcee.
