Enchanting China! 2015 Tiger Ball Glorifies Culture
One of the 11 locations throughout the world, the 40,000 square feet Asia Society Texas Center located in the Museum District, highlights Houston’s diversity and rich cultural mission.
Since April of 2012 it became a tradition to host the annual Asia Society Tiger Ball at the Center itself – oozing sophistication and uniqueness.
Enchanting China was the theme for this year’s Tiger Ball. Despite heavy rains guests enjoyed the evening with honorees Lily and Charles Foster, Chairs Anne and Albert Chao, Y. Ping Sun and David Leebron, raising $1.3 million. A tremendous effort and dedication from the chairs, generous patrons and sponsors.
The fashion was soaring and diverse at this ball. From elaborate evening gowns to traditional ethnic wear was in full display.
With more than 700 guests enjoying the Chinese themed festive atmosphere, Asia Society Executive Director Bonna Kol and Deputy Director John Bradshaw Jr. greeted each and everyone.
The gala reception and dessert gallery was held at the Chevron Gala Pavilion where elite guests enjoyed drinks and danced away to the music by Punch Bowl.
Amongst the charming guests were: Lynn Wyatt, Phoebe and Bobby Tudor, Dr. Renu and Suresh Khator, Dr. Durga and Sushila Aggarwal, Miya Shay and Gene Wu, Tammy and Wayne Nguyen, Mandy Kao, Peter Brown, Leela and Nat Krishnamurthy, and the list goes on.
