Birthday Extravaganza for the Scarlett Fund
It was no ordinary birthday celebration. David Peck USA hosted both afternoon and evening events at his beautiful new location on Morse Street, beginning with their first ever in-house seated luncheon. Caterer Brandon Gregoire of Dig and Serve, created a spectacular organic locally grown soup and salmon combination to serve to more than 40 guests. It was a very special birthday for Donae Chramosta, aka The Vinatage Contessa. Donae knew she wanted to do more than just celebrate her birthday. She wanted to celebrate with her friend Jennifer, and on her special day she wanted to create an opportunity to tell the story of Scarlett (Jennifer’s daughter) while raising funds and awareness for the battle against pediatric cancer.
In October of 2013, Donae Chramosta’s now eight year old god daughter, Scarlett Elizabeth James was diagnosed with T Cell Lymphoma. Embarking upon a two year journey of chemotherapy, radiation and numerous spinal taps, she has overcome every obstacle with strength, grace and unwavering tenacity. “Scarlett has taught all of us the meaning of resilience. With the commitment and dedication of her family, along with the prayers and support from friends around the world, Scarlett will win her battle against cancer and she won’t leave the fight. We have all learned there is much more work to be done. We will continue to fight along side her until we can do more than just imagine a world without cancer. We can actually live in one,” shares Donae.
Good friend, Elizabeth Harvey delighted the crowd with her creativity and talent creating the most delectable cake designed to look like an actual Chanel handbag, bracelet, lipstick and Camilla flower. Stylist Ursaline Hamilton wowed attendees with eighteen different looks by David Peck, accessorized with Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags and jewelry pieces by The Vintage Contessa.
In the evening, guests sipped wine and Proseco while tasting CoCo Chanel Cupcakes and shopping for one of a kind authentic timeless luxury pieces.
Guests included Alex Blair, Judge Stacy Bond, Karina Barbieri, Lily Zhang, Yasmine Haddad, Terry Wayne Jones, Amy Lee, Katherine Le, Lucinda Loya, Kim Moody, Diane Caplan, Michael Pearce, Cindy Rose and Jenee Stefanakis.
To date, the events have raised over $9,300 for The Scarlett Fund.
