Zayver Jewels – Ode To Shimmering
A spot at the counter in a sunny and spacious kitchen in downtown with a nice mug of tea. The perfect recipe for creativity, the perfect mix of open air while still being in the heart of the city. This is the recipe Bela Thacker uses for her bold and fun jewelry pieces.
Zayver Jewels features semi precious stones and gold plated accents. The pendents, chains, earrings and cuffs can be worn with jeans as well as evening gowns – the choice is entirely up to you.
Bela is the perfect combination of East meets West, and her work reflects that. She grew up in India, but since college has been in the States. Her bangles and cuffs pair well with jeans, and other pieces could complement gala dresses.
Bela Thacker thoughtfully chooses each piece for her collections, and all the while keeps her clients in mind. She has been known to personalize and even name pieces for clients with their tastes in mind, and remembers to keep their budgets in mind too.
“I only make jewelry that I could see myself wearing, and I never price anything at more than what I would pay myself,” says the lovely Bela.
The name Bela means distinguished, and the woman who carries the name wears it well. The reason behind the name Zayver Jewels is just as fitting. Growing up, Bela was quite close to her aunt, who was also a fashion forward woman. As a child, Bela’s aunt would always tell her, “Zayver (which means jewelry in Hindi) is just not jewelry, but a piece of art, and you must always take care of it.” Since her passing, Bela has used her business as a way to continue to honor her.
Her family’s support has meant the world to Bela, and she is very close to her son as well as her parents. She uses her work as a way to thank them for their support.
Currently you can find Bela and her fantastic jewels at trunk shows all over the Houston area, and her calendar is steadily being filled. Her website is also fully functional.
Bela’s heart is just as big as her creative side, Zayver donates frequently to Children Assessment Center, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Wellness Growth Foundation, and several others. Community has played a huge part in Bela’s success, and she enjoys giving back.
With the holidays already well upon us, this is the perfect time to choose pieces to spice up black dresses and holiday attire, but as we all know it is better to give than it is to receive, allow Zayver to help you achieve both.
Holiday season is all about glamor and the bling! As a jewelry designer, Bela feels that an outfit is complete with that perfect chunky necklace or a piece of elegant earrings. At Zayver Jewels it’s all about making a statement this holiday season.
Zayver Jewels will be showcasing a trunk show on December 5, 2014 at Josephine Day Spa, 1127 Eldridge Pkwy S, Houston, TX 77077 from 12-3pm and on December 7, 2014 from noon to 6pm at the Culturemap Pop Up Holiday Shop at Silver Street Studios.
