Children Walk the Ramp for Boy and Girls Harbor
Anything for a good cause is the motto for Houston’s philanthropic community. Parents and children walked the ramp for a fashion show luncheon hosted on April 12, 2014 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel Houston to benefit the children of Boys & Girls Harbor.
Boys and Girls Harbor aims to provide healthy care for children and families in crisis. Founded in 1947, the organization has long served as a refuge for children ages 5 to 18 who experience crisis due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or family hardship.
Cute young models walked the runway confidently while the mommies and daddies looked cool dressed in Tootsies and LUCHO footwear. Co-chairs Jo Ann Petersen, Nancy Walker, Ashley Petersen and Holly Walker along with emcee Mia Gradney (KHOU Channel 11) ran the show flawlessly raising about $95,000.
Spotted supporting a noble cause Connie Kwang-Wong, Hector Villareal, Harry and Tracy Faulkner, President & CEO Boys & Girls Harbor Don Sweat, Josephine Firat, Tiffany T. Zhang, Sam Malone, and many others.
