Mad Hatters and Mission for Remission
Society with Ruchi
We might have missed the Royal Wedding but that did not dampen the celebrating. On Friday April 29 mostly ladies in spring dresses and hats gathered for the Mad Hatter Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show: A Royal Engagement benefiting Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels at the Stafford Center in Sugarland. The event was spearheaded by Jacquie Chaumette and Teri Wang.
The buzz was most certainly about the Royal Wedding and what they wore but guests at the Mad Hatter event did make an effort to look sophisticated and royal. Spotted in their hat besties were Roseann Rogers, Tanya Bhadra Pal, and others with creative hats such as lemons and fruits. The highlight of the afternoon was a celebrity fashion show by Cache, Ultimate Divas Hats, Wardrobe The Boutique, Jos. A. Bank and Salon Eben & Day Spa.
Mo’s.. A Place for Steaks on Post Oak welcomed a fashionable crowd of good looking young men and women who gathered to celebrate LLS Candidate 2011 Man of the Year Tim White’s one year since radiation treatment and his one-year anniversary in REMISSION! This was definitely a good reason to celebrate with friends and family and specially when the proceeds are going to a good cause.
Tim and his campaign team (MISSION REMISSION) are in the final weeks of fund-raising for The Man & Woman of the Year benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)! Guests joined the party in celebrating this amazing feat with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and great raffles. Lewis Grell of LG Entertainment rocked the house. Spotted at the event Cortney Cole, Evelyn Leightman, Sonia Azad, Laura LaRue, Ashlee Lee, Michael Verma, and Hooria Qayyum.
