LCAHouston (Lights Camera Action) is an online lifestyle society magazine catering to Houston’s diverse community. Our team of editors and contributors capture all facets of Houston society including fashion, dining, art, culture and high society. Our coverage provides a perfect blend of both international and mainstream features to support the integrated lifestyle of our community.
Our goal is to deliver Houston Society News in a chic, exciting and interesting manner and provide a bridge between the ethnic and mainstream communities. We also attempt to raise the profile of prominent community leaders who are making a contribution to make a difference in various walks of life. LCAHouston creates a strong sense of community.
Ruchi Mukherjee, Founder/Editor
Ruchi started her career with the much talked about English daily newspaper Times Of India as a city reporter in Kolkata, India. Her stories have journeyed from Kolkata’s notorious red light districts, NASA breaking news to the most happening parties in New York, Beverly Hills, and Houston. Her niche is ‘Lifestyle’.
Ruchi had a seven year run at writing a lifestyle Sunday column with The Statesman, a 137 year-old English daily newspaper in Kolkata. Her articles have also been published in esteemed newspapers like The Indian Express and India Abroad.
At present she also serves as a Houston correspondent for the North American News Channel TV Asia. Along with her stint with journalism and reporting Ruchi takes active initiative to volunteer for various non-profit organizations that involve women and children. She was nominated by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for the 2011 Man & Woman of the Year Campaign and won the Citizenship Award for Media/Community Involvement.
With a keen interest for fashion & style, Ruchi covers Houston’s best events – from chic galas to community events, she has it all covered. UH President Dr. Renu Khator calls her “the right person at the right place.”

Sonal Bhuchar

Sonal Bhuchar is a physical therapist and long standing community volunteer. She is the Past President of FBISDs Board of Trustees and is finishing her second term.
She has served in numerous leadership roles and is now running for the Texas House of Representatives HD 26. She is married to Dr. Subodh Bhuchar and has three children. They have lived and worked in Sugar Land for the last two decades.
