The epitome of elegance and charitable spirit converged at the Valentino boutique in Houston Galleria mid May for an exclusive shopping benefit in support of Operation Smile Houston. Hosted by Houston’s elite socialites and esteemed supporters of both Operation Smile and Valentino, the event welcomed over 70 distinguished guests.

Valentino unveiled their highly anticipated FW24 pre-collection, captivating attendees with a mesmerizing array of exquisitely crafted pieces. From sumptuous embroidery to tailored details and flowing silhouettes, the collection exuded versatility and contemporary flair. Navy blue and ivory hues dominated the palette, while gold V logo patch details adorned the pieces, accentuating their sophistication. The collection was perfectly complemented by an exquisite selection of Valentino accessories, completing the timeless ensemble. In keeping with the spirit of Mother’s Day, guests were treated to a lavish spread of champagne and delectable bites catered by A Fare Extraordinaire. To add a touch of opulence, Valentino arranged stunning floral arrangements of exotic peonies from Thriving Botanicals for each guest, elevating the ambiance of the event.

Event chairs Sneha Merchant and Viet Hoang delivered poignant speeches, highlighting their long standing partnership with Operation Smile Houston. With over eight years of dedicated service, they have collectively raised over $2 million for the organization.

This year, they welcomed new co-chairs Stacey Lindseth and Al Lindseth, as well as Carrie Brandsberg Dahl and Sverre Brandsberg Dahl. The evening was was full of surprises and announcements. The 2024 honorees are: Roslyn Bazzelle Mitchell and Derrick Mitchell and they will receive the prestigious Wallis Annenberg Public Service Award, Dr. Katie To will be honored with the Medical Visionary Award, and Melissa Holman Juneau will receive the esteemed John Connor Humanitarian Award. Notable past recipients include actors Kate Walsh, Harrison Ford, Zachary Levi, Jessica Simpson, Henry Golding, and many more. Operation Smile unveiled its ambitious goal of serving 1 million patients over the next decade, emphasizing the simple mission of providing life-changing surgeries for children with cleft lip and palate.

The upcoming gala is set to take place at the Royal Sonesta Hotel on September 14th. Come join us for an unforgettable night of glamor and philanthropy. Sneha and Viet hinted at the possibility of securing a prominent celebrity guest, following the tradition of bringing renowned personalities like Zachary Levi and Henry Golding to Houston to share their commitment to Operation Smile.
