The Westin at The Woodlands Hotel Experience
The Woodlands is definitely exceeding my expectations at all levels. From fine dining to a luxurious staycation. Amidst all the chaos and busy summer schedule I had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a staycation at the beautiful Westin at The Woodlands. The Woodlands continues to expand its hospitality offerings to the Greater Houston area. Nestled in the heart of the Waterway Square district, this property offers business and casual travelers a relaxing and memorable destination.
We were welcomed at this AAA Four-Diamond property, The Westin at The Woodlands (2 Waterway Square Place) hotel’s gorgeous suite, situated just steps away from upscale shopping, over 70 dining options and world class entertainment that the Waterway has to offer. A welcome charcuterie board was already waiting at the suite. The contemporary 302-room hotel boasts modern amenities and facilities ideal for leisure and business travel. Also included are a 24-hour fitness studio, in-room spa services, outdoor infinity pool, and cabanas. With over 28,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event spaces, The Westin at The Woodlands is the ideal location for large-scale conferences and small gatherings. The property is also home to popular dining destinations, such as the award-winning Sorriso Modern Italian Kitchen and Como Social Club. We certainly took advantage of this fine Italian dining and I must say, we were very impressed.
At the Sorriso Restaurant we enjoyed a chef special flat bread with arugula, cherry tomatoes, prosciutto and mozzarella. The char grilled octopus was not just a piece of art but a scrumptious delight. Shrimp risotto was beyond my expectations leaving absolutely no room for dessert but we simply couldn’t say no to the fresh panna cotta.
Late night party goers they can enjoy the Como Social Club which is located on the grounds of The Westin at The Woodlands, a chic rooftop terrace overlooking the Woodlands Waterway. Enticing a romantic mood that channels the allure and ambiance of Lake Como, Italy. Days are spent relaxing in the cozy cabanas with sensational handcrafted cocktails and bites by the pool. When the sun goes down, the party is just getting started with live music every Thursday (Latin Night), Friday and Saturday evenings.
“Only a 40-minute drive from Houston, our hotel is ideal for Houstonians in search of a quick getaway that is also close to home,” shares Kelly McCourt, Director of Marketing.
