Power Couple | Brisehyda & Daniel Cheung
Brisehyda (Bri) and Daniel Cheung are definitely a super power couple. Balancing challenging careers and busy social calendars, this pair does it all while keeping an eye on the real prize… each other. Their diverse backgrounds serve as their strength and as a jumping off point for how they tackle the challenges of their lives. Daniel is a future technology leader at Chevron, and Bri is a Showroom Partner at a clothing boutique in Rice Village. Together, Bri and Daniel created and manage En Belle Époque, an online boutique with a French appeal and a philanthropic twist with plans to go brick and mortar in 2021. Beyond work, the couple spends their time volunteering at church as third grade teachers, professionally competing in Latin Dance, and flexing their culinary skills of their respective Chinese and Mexican heritage.
What is the ideal weekend for you?
A weekend in the fashion/retail world is inherently restless – but we do our best to go against it. Our ideal weekend involves brunch dates and lattes, worship and prayer, overdosing on sleep and waking up to a good sales report on Monday.
What is your power couple fashion statement?
Modern Elegance. Yet, we believe that, as Carolina Herrera says, “elegance isn’t solely defined by what you wear, it’s how you carry yourself, how you speak and what you read”.
What are your couple superpowers?
The new era superpower is diversity, where being a very cultural Chinese-Mexican couple allows us to do business with just about anybody. Four spoken languages, travel inspired, open-mindedness, and a heart for diverse relationships keeps us ahead.
What is your ideal power couple vacation?
French Riviera, Southeast Asia, Coastal Mexico. Our vacations involve exploring deep into different cultures and unique lifestyles. We enjoy every bit of it and the travel also helps us grow our fashion brand – it inspires our designs for future collections and grows our market to different countries. What a great excuse to travel even more!
