This dashing couple ooze romance and love, but also have a philanthropic heart. Despite the ongoing pandemic madness of 2020 this stunning power couple Carlos and Daniella squeezed in a tête-à-tête with LCAHouston Editor/Publisher Ruchi Mukherjee sharing their views on love, life, charity and resilience.

One of the most sensational proposals of the decade, the love they share today is the envy of many. “Ruchi, I was more anxious about the proposal than the game,” shares Carlos while getting ready for the LCAHouston Cover Photo shoot at Gittings studio. This handsome couple met a few years ago when Daniella won the Miss Texas title and they felt an instant connection with each other. While Daniella had absolutely no idea that he was even thinking about proposing, she was lost for words and thought it was the most beautiful surprise of her life. But every relationship comes with its own challenges and the same was true for this lovely couple. “The main challenge was the fact that I lived in Laredo while he was in Houston.” shared Daniella. The couple had a long-distance relationship for the first few months of their relationship, but communication was the key as they fought the challenges of distance.

Behind all this glamour and glitz, the couple treasure the little pleasures of life. Much to our surprise their ideal weekend is staying home with their dogs and watching movies and shows. The couple love bonding over food and Carlos shared that his favorite thing about Daniella was that the surprise picnics she planned for them in their backyard. They often try to get away from the public eye by vacationing near the beach. “We once made a trip to the Dominican Republic on an impulse, and we had so much fun and ended up deciding that we wanted to get married there!” gushed Daniella.

While maintaining several media appearances and galas, philanthropy is a significant part of their lives. For them, an ideal power couple is a couple that sticks together no matter the difficulties and challenges they face, but above all, a couple that constantly strives to be a positive and enduring influence within their community. Daniella, who proudly represents her Mexican American heritage has always had a philanthropic heart and has been supporting organizations and charities since her teenage years including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Pink Ribbon Awareness and Special Olympics. In 2017, the couple co-founded the Correa Family Foundation where they have strived to provide emotional and financial support to childhood cancer patients and relief to communities affected by natural disasters.

As celebrities in their own rights they both strive to strike a balance with work and family life, Carlos and Daniella try their best to spend quality time together whenever they can, and it cannot be overstated that communication is the most important factor when it comes to a healthy relationship! “Our power couple superpower is most certainly great communication,” shared Carlos and Daniella, retiring after a busy day.
