Neiman Marcus Announces LCAHouston’s International Mother’s Day Soirée Honorees
Just a few days prior to International Women’s Day, LCAHouston Host/Founder Ruchi Mukherjee along with Neiman Marcus hosted the Honoree Announcement Kick Off celebration for the Annual International Mother’s Day Soirée.
Ms. Mukherjee started her career as a journalist in India. The Annual International Mother’s Day Soirée is an inspiration from one of her series of stories she had written for The Statesman and The Times of India on the Fabulous and Philanthropic Mothers of Houston. “The mission behind this event is to bridge the gap between the ethnic and mainstream communities,“ explains Ruchi. Each year, a dozen or less mothers of various ethnicities and professions, are honored to showcase diversity and celebrate motherhood. The 8th Annual International Mother’s Day Soirée will once again be hosted at the Asia Society Texas Center, Date To Be Decided 2020. The theme this year will be a tribute to the fashion legend Karl Lagarfield Chanel inspired ‘Paris To Bombay’. Guests will be dazzling in a mix of haute couture and ancient Indian charm.
Stephen Brunelle, VP General Manager of Neiman Marcus, presented the bouquets, provided by Lexis Florists, to the mothers while Honorary gala chairs, Toni and Howard Tate along with Host Ruchi Mukherjee announced the 2020 honorees: Deepika Agarwal, Sandra Smith Cooper, Shaobo Du,Tiziana, Ciacciofera Triolo, Tracy Faulkner, Clare Fontenot Gray, Denise Middleton (Fox 26 Anchor), Khatidja Soofi Vellani, Teresa Cox Reading, Milka Waterland, and the Showstopper ABC 13 President & General Manager Wendy Granato.
