The 3rd Annual St. Jude Gold Luncheon was a Star Studded Affair
More than 400 fashionable philanthropists gathered on a Thursday afternoon at the The Royal Sonesta to celebrate the sold-out 3rd Annual St. Jude Gold Luncheon. With energetic Emcee Deborah Duncan, the afternoon certainly started off on the right note, elite guests celebrated the Research Hospital’s lifesaving work.
The St. Jude 2019 Women of Philanthropy honorees included Farida Abjani, Jacquie Baly, Susan Boggio, Alice Mao Brams, Ericka Engen-Graham, Sippi Khurana, Joanna Hartland Marks, Hallie Vanderhider, and Beth Wolff. The honorees were styled by The Creative Director of TOOTSIES—Fady Armanious with their runway looks and a glamorous spring fashion show enjoyed by all, produced by Angel Woolsey.
A Special recognition was given to the lovely Brigitte Kalai who was also the Gold Heart Recipient. Whitney Mercilus, who graciously posed with guests for photographs, was the Philanthropic Gold Honoree, and Joanne King Herring was recognized as the Philanthropic Icon.
The star-studded honorees and guests were mesmerized by the very young and talented singer Sarah Grace. She is popularly known as the last seasons NBC “The VOICE” finalist.
All applause to the fabulous luncheon chairs Tammie Johnson and Yasmine Haddad, Honorary Chair Gracie Cavnar, Young Professional Chair Brittney Randolph, and Host Committee Chair Dallas Rowden, who helped raise awareness and over $160,000 for St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
