Houston’s Hi-Fi Living: Kensington Style
Houston has always been known for its diversity and International connections but HTown is also the city of the rich and famous. Real Estate is booming and we see a lot of familiar faces in this industry making a shift from other professions.
The heat of a sweltering summer evening proved no deterrent for the sizzle of a sneak peek at Kensington at River Oaks, a new luxury townhome enclave anchored by the city’s tallest residence. As the thermometer climbed, so did the more than 200 guests, who made their way through all five stories and expansive terraces of the nearly 70-foot-tall property – along with two adjacent four-story homes – while taking in postcard city views and indulgent amenities along the way.
Free flowing bars with signature high tea cocktails, a nod to Regency-style architecture inspired by The Kensington Hotel in London, kept the crowd refreshed, and bountiful nibbles were spread throughout the gourmet kitchens. Developer Arpan Gupta of Carnegie Homes and reps from a cadre of specialty vendors spanning from Porcelanosa to Sub-Zero Wolf spotlighted unique features, while attendees also had the opportunity to try their luck at raffles from The Star and Yellow Rose Distilling while perusing a fleet of new cars from Momentum BMW Southwest, a rooftop room pop up exhibit from Esperson Gallery at GreenStreet plus stylish décor and accessories vignettes from High Fashion Home.
