Festari Men Strut the Runway To Heal A Broken Heart
There is no cure for grief, but within each of us lies the capacity to heal a broken heart. With this thought in mind, Una Notte in Italia witnessed another outstanding sold-out gala evening benefiting Bo’s Place. This fashion extravaganza presented by Festari For Men has been the talk of the town for over a decade, where Houston’s elite socialites rub shoulders with Houston’s premiere athletes. The festivities were co-chaired by Stacey Soriero and Tiffany Wong.
Una Notte in Italia has become one of the go-to events of the season, and this fashion-filled gala of all-things-Italian did not disappoint! The runway came alive featuring Houston hunks decked out in Festari signature attire. The night began with a lively cocktail reception for nearly 700 guests, complete with a premiere tequila bar hosted by Riazul. The fine Italian wine flowed during dinner in the main hall.
Honorary Chairwoman Debbie Festari and Emcee Dominique Sachse of KPRC Channel 2 entertained the audience and announced the men as they strutted the catwalk. This year’s lineup included businessmen Rick Perez, Dr. Ron Osborn, Chester Pitts, Bashar Kalai, Ben Berg, and the Bo’s Place Board’s own President Travis Torrence. Athletes Dynamo soccer player David Horst, Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, 3-time Olympian Steven Lopez and Houston Texans, Andre Hal, Christian Covington and Whitney Mercilus also hit the stage to the delight of many female guests.
Event founders Debbie and Rudy Festari, who have championed the cause for Bo’s Place, were presented with a Proclamation from the City for their years of selfless fundraising. The evening continued with a live auction for several fantastic items including a trip to Italy, and a seated dinner with two Texans at the popular B&B Butchers and Restaurant.
The Bo’s Place non-profit bereavement center has become a Houston institution, and is dedicated to providing significant relief to children, families, and adults suffering the loss of a family member. For over 25 years the center has helped mend broken hearts and spirits by creating programs that focus on sharing experiences of grief.
The “Notte” ended on a high note with the crowd heading to the dance floor to enjoy the sounds of popular DJ Senega in an elegant lounge setting. For more information on Bo’s Place please visit bosplace.
