CARNAVAL Style Grand Opening – Saks Fifth Avenue’s 5115

More than 300 guests gathered for a Brazilian-themed Carnaval night hosted by acclaimed interior designer and TV personality Nina Magon of Contour Interior Design. The night was her interior design firm’s celebration of the newly designed and completed 51fifteen Cuisine and Cocktails located inside of Saks Fifth Avenue. A diverse crowd of guests along with Emcee for the night KHOU’s Chita Johnson were spotted enjoying live music by Mango Punch and hip swinging with the samba dancers from LD Dance Company. Ticket sales and silent auction items helped raise $16,000 for Dec My Room which customizes hospital rooms of long-term child patients.

Located in the new Saks Fifth Avenue in the Galleria, the venue’s 8,000 square foot interior is certainly the new hot spot space for fashionistas and romantic night outs. Nina explained how she picked a neutral palette for the restaurant’s color scheme and larger than life artwork that makes a statement. Contour Interior Design is an international award winning interior design firm which is based in Houston, Texas and Miami, Florida primarily focusing on high end residential, commercial and hospitality design. Nina served as one of the host committee members for this event along with Todd Ramos, Sydney Dao, Adrian Duenas, Misti Pace-Krahl, Maryam Afshari, and Donae Chramosta.
