News Personalities Walk the Runway for Star of Hope
It has been one of Houston’s most awaited luncheons, where local top media personalities walk the ramp to raise money for homeless children. The 2016 Star of Hope 18th Annual Haute of Hope Celebrity Fashion Show and Luncheon event Chairs Shana Wood and Elizabeth Wood Edgeworth put together an amazing show spotlighting the Bayou City’s media professionals who not only cover the news, but are celebrities in their own right. This year’s models included: KPRC: Andy Cerota, Dominique Sachse, LCA Houston International Society News Host Ruchi Mukherjee, FOX 26: Jose Grinan, Rita Garcia, Melissa Williams, ABC 13: Tom Koch, Rebecca Spera, Pooja Lodhia, KHOU: Chita Johnson, Mia Gradney, Deborah Duncan, Sherry Williams, just to name a few.
These celebrity models took the afternoon off to get all dressed up for a spectacular fashion show that was put together with the tireless efforts of Todd Ramos and his team along side make up artist “Guru” Edward Sanchez who made sure each and every model looked their best before they headed out to strut the runway. The runway fashion show demonstrated the latest summer creations by Kendra Scott, BBI Classic, NIMA Boutique and LUCHO Menswear.
The Star of Hope’s Fund provides the city’s homeless with structured programs which focus on spiritual growth, education, employment, life management and recovery from substance abuse. The Fashion Show specifically supports the Star of Hope’s Children Critical Care Fund which provides services for children from infants to 18 year olds. Through their good efforts, the Star of Hope was able to assist over 1800 children last year alone.
