Making a Statement in Fashion and Philanthropy at The Women’s Hospital of Texas 12th Annual Labor Day Luncheon and Style Show
A fashionable luncheon with nearly 500 people with a flair for fashion and philanthropy gathered to support The Women’s Hospital’s largest fundraiser event hosted for the March of Dimes on Saturday August 29 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston. Attendees of this 12th Annual luncheon and style show reveled in the fashions of tomorrow for an incredible cause as they supported Houston area moms and babies. This event has now become a beautiful Labor Day tradition.
Another successful show raising more than $52,000 was diligently co-chaired by powerhouses like The Women’s Hospital of Texas CEO Ashley McClellan and March of Dimes Chair Gina Gaston Elie, who also served as the emcee. The luncheon started early at 10 am where guests were able to shop from the Boutique Bazaar, a pop-up market with various fashion items from the town’s most sought-after boutiques, filled with all the essentials needed to make a statement all season long. Ten percent of the purchase proceeds were given to benefit the March of Dimes’ NICU Family Support Program at The Women’s Hospital of Texas.
The afternoon of avant-garde fashion featured a three-course lunch and style tips and secrets on looking confident and fashionable year round by Houston image consultant Rebecca Matthews, followed by a bold runway show styled and produced by our very own style guru Todd Ramos. Spotted at the annual fashion extravaganza were: Ursaline Hamilton, Elizabeth Abraham, Kristy Junco Bradshaw, Ting Wang, Divya Brown, Kate Stukenberg, Beth Younger Purpich, and others.
