Bradley’s Fine Diner Experience

Bradley’s Fine Diner Experience

It’s Houston Restaurant Weeks! And you know what that means. Houston is now popularly known for having the finest restaurants with a variety of cuisines and just like many of you, I have a long list of restaurants that I want to try during this Restaurant Weeks and one of them was Bradley’s Fine Diner.

Greg Lowry, who has made a mark on the Houston dining scene at top restaurants ranging from Tony’s to Triniti, where he was most recently Chef de Cuisine, has been appointed Corporate Executive Chef for Bradley Ogden Hospitality’s Houston ventures in March 2015.

Bradley’s Fine Diner Experience (3)In this capacity, Lowry oversees menu development for Bradley’s Fine Diner and Funky Kitchen – both debuted in the Washington Heights complex bridging Washington Avenue and The Heights in 2014 – plus Pour Society, which is slated to open at Gateway Memorial City this summer. Bradley’s Fine Diner is certainly a combination of causal yet fine dinning experience. The decor is simple and elegant. The giant real branch like chandelier adds a character to the diner. Lowry was heavily inspired by his Italian family while growing up, where kids began cooking from the time they could hold a spatula, an indicator of a promising culinary path.

The Restaurant Weeks menu was a delicious creation with great choices. First course baby iceberg, crispy chicken skins, bacon, buttermilk dressing, soft egg, house hot sauce was amazing divided into smaller portions, the soft egg was definitely a great add on. Also the Mac & Cheese with aged cheddar and smoked ham is a great choice. Second course we picked the Salmon which was crispy and just about right with green garlic pesto, summer vegetables and wild mushrooms. My associate opted for the Pot Roast, a slow cooked dish with mashed potatoes, turnips, carrots, and pearl onions. Third course – Dessert Time! Budino amazing not so sweet chocolate mouse style cake with candied pistachios and marinated strawberries.

This $35 per person Restaurant Weeks is a great value and Bradley’s Fine diner will be your favorite addition for a go to place. Looks like a great family brunch venue. I will be back to try other things from the menu. For more information on the restaurant visit ogdenhospitality.com.
