Co-chairs and Board Members Anika Jackson and Denise Johnson hosted the first Learn Grow Lead Annual Gala to raise funds for a project in Cape Coast, Ghana, Africa for the education of 125 children, furnishing a newly built orphanage, health care, clothing, and a ten acre farm. Honoring Paul Brockman President of the Wich Foundation, with Leaders in Education Award and raising over $30,000, very impressive for the first annual gala.
Friends of the co-chairs, fashionable socialites and philanthropists gathered at the Black Hawk Country Club, Richmond, TX early June to support Learn Grow Lead that promises to make a long-term impact on global poverty by funding education and other needs of poor, orphaned and/or trafficked children in developing countries, and providing sustainability measures for partnership success. The very dynamic and TV personality Jacquie Baly served as Mistress of Ceremonies.
