A Texas Taste Teaser Enthralls Houstonians
Calling all foodies! A fun and delicious time was had by all who attended the Texas Taste Teaser. Food always seems to taste better when eaten for a good cause, maybe that is why the food at this event was particularly tasty, it benefited the UT Health School of Dentistry.
This event brought local celebrity chefs and novice chefs together and gave them the opportunity to showcase their newest or most popular creations in bite sized portions.
The judges ranged from Rachel Ashley (Ms Texas 2014), Len Cannon from KHOU 11 News, Jeff Ehling from ABC 13, Rita Garcia from Fox 26, Jeff Gremillion from Modern Luxury Houston and Dan Pastorini from Dan Pastorini’s Quality Foods.
The celebrity chefs were from all kinds of restaurants in the Houston area, ranging form Narin’s Bombay Brasserie, to The American Cafe, to Trentino Gelato and several others.
The event took place at the DDS University Life Center. This was a fitting venue as the money raised at the event will go towards funding the school’s efforts to provide dental care to the Houston community through clinics and other outreach efforts. Two thumbs up to event chairs Terri Alani, Peter Remington and the very glamorous Yasmine Haddad.
Among the other ‘celebrity chefs’ participating in this fun food affair were: Jacquie Baly, Karina Barbieri, Cindi Rose, Connie Kwan-Wong, Alex Martinez, and others cooking up some delicious delights.
