The Palm Experience
This holiday season make dining a memorable event. The Palm Restaurant that was renovated and opened not to long ago is famously known for being a sell out during the holidays. I was thrilled to chat with Daniel Elliott, General Manager at the Palm during Thanksgiving, and he informed us about the exciting power lunch deals. “We are so booked for thanksgiving and Christmas time. Big family gatherings are a tradition of the Palm,” says Daniel.
Luxurious, upscale, elegant and quirky are all words that come to mind when asked to describe the Palm. This restaurant is like a landmark for quality cooking. Since the Palm first opened its doors in 1926, the idea has been the same “treat guests like family, serve great food, and always exceed expectations.”
The Palm has served hundreds of celebrities and they keep coming back for more. All around this gorgeous restaurant you will find caricatures of the well known who have dined there. George Clooney to former President Bill Clinton are all waiting to enjoy lunch or dinner with you from their place on the walls.
The idea for putting paintings on the wall began in the original New York location when artists would draw an original sketch on the wall in order to pay for their meal, and since then the idea of steaks and sketches has taken off.
The Palm offers a variety of tasteful and well prepared dishes for lunch and dinner, and is spacious enough for even the biggest family or party. When looking for a restaurant in which taste is as important as atmosphere, one can’t go wrong with the Palm.
Here at the Palm while famously known for steaks and seafood, we enjoyed a number of terrific dishes by Executive Chef Ricardo Ramirez-Rea, but the stand outs were the lobster tempura, crab cake, New York Strip steak, veal parm, and yes, the warm onion rings and potato chips.
The new addition is the quick, simple, healthy 3-course power lunch featuring a choice of appetizer, entree, individual side, and dessert. All this for only $25.90!
Over the years of decorating the walls with cartoons and caricatures which expanded across the country and internationally, the flagship Palm has become a living museum featuring famous faces. But what we walked away with after our experience at the Palm, was the sense of family, warmth and attention to detail by all the staff, and of course the food. So whether it be a a business lunch or that special holiday gathering, make Palm your fun destination!
