Lights Camera Action Enthralls Houston as they Celebrate the 2nd Annual International Mothers' Day Soirée

It was a night to remember as Houston’s elite mothers took the runway, at Neiman Marcus on Friday night at the Galleria, for Lights Camera Action’s 2nd Annual Mothers’ Day Soirée benefiting the Taharih Justice Center.

The evening was a sold out affair, as fashionistas, media personalities, and socialites flocked to cheer for this year’s selection of mothers which included Alex Blair, Chau Nguyen Todd, Dr. Huma Nawab Haider, Katie Walthall Mehnert, Mehrnaz Gill, Dr. Vanitha Pothuri, Miriam Habib, Miya Shay, Rekha Muddaraj, Toni Tate, Ursaline Hamilton, and the show stopper KPRC Channel 2 Anchor Dominique Sachse Florescu, who was an absolute stunner in a hot pink sari.

Emcee for the evening FOX 26 Reporter/Anchor Rita Garcia, wowed the audience with her grace as she flaunted a gorgeous mermaid style Spring inspired gown by up and coming Houston designer Breccia Aurora Demartini (CEO & Founder of Demartini Fashion). Others choosing local designers like Amir Taghi and Chloe Dao were Katie Walthall Mehnert and Chau Nguyen Todd respectively.

The evening started with a champagne reception while guests munched on tasty bites prepared by Trenza Chef and Food Network Star Susie Jimenez, who also graced the event. Special bon-bon treats by Scott French of Mister French’s Gourmet Bakery. Guests of honor Shelby Hodge, Culturemap Editor at Large and Jared Lang of Fashion Houston put a smile on the crowd.
