High Tea for Education
A group of very talented fashion forward philanthropic ladies gathered for a Spring time high tea affair at Sweetwater Country Club in April, honoring the efforts of Developments in Literacy (DIL). The efforts were put together by Maha Rasheed Saeed Khan and Dr. Huma Nawab to support DIL’s mission which is to support the education of underprivileged children, and to appreciate everyone’s support for the Houston Chapter for Developments in Literacy. Both Maha and Huma also serve on the board and together they hosted a chic evening of stylish mostly Sugarland peeps that took out the time to support the DIL.
DIL is a non-profit organization based in the United States which funds education for underprivileged children in Pakistan. Currently, DIL operates 179 school units throughout rural areas of Pakistan, and in some very poor urban areas also.
