Shunya Theatre presents – A Widow of No Importance – by Shane Sakhrani
This unconventional romantic comedy will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter that premiers on Friday March 28th, 2014 at 8pm at Studio 101.
Deepa has played out her roles in life as a dutiful daughter, a dutiful wife, and now a dutiful widow. She yearns to see her free-spirited daughter Tara married so she can die in peace as a dutiful mother. Tara, however, has other ideas. The tug-of-war between mother and daughter continues until Deepa begins a relationship that could almost certainly destroy her family and public image, or help her find true happiness instead.
