Mad Hatter Tea Party
Rachel’s Style Corner
This years Mad Hatter event was one of the best yet! It was the 6th Annual Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show that benefits Fort Bend Seniors ‘Meals on Wheels’. It took place at the Stafford Center for the Performing Arts. I was able to be backstage dressing the models, and seeing the fashions first hand. Blinc by Bambi Lynn was the Fashion Coordinator.
The celebrity models wore spring and summer outfits from Dillards, as well as other designers including Chloe Dao, Project Runway winner! Her pieces were colorful and have interesting cut outs and design. The Page Parks models wore designs by all three. The other two designers were, Cesar Galindo, a native Houstonian, and well known couture designer, his new young and sophisticated line – CZAR, was featured in the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion week. His pieces included, shorts and halter tops, as well as a lime kimono dress. The next talent showcased were pieces by Jonathan Tinkle, also a Houstonian, he launched his line Jonathan Blake in 2012 at the age of 21. His fashions included elegant dresses, some of them with laser cut leather, a bustier dress, and fun ruffled blouses. Every one looked fabulous, the show was a success, and I look forward to styling this Event again next year.
Walking the ramp were Cindy Cheng, Sonal Bhuchar, amongst the other supporters were: David Vasquez, Sneha Merchant, Mandy Kao, Savita Rao, Asha Dhume, J Andres Novoa and Namita Asthana, Teresa Cox Reading, and others.
