“Oscar Night generates excitement all over the world,” said Betti Guzman, regional vice president of the American Cancer Society. “With the Academy’s help, our guests will feel like they are part of the A-list while raising money to support the American Cancer Society.” The event’s proceeds will benefit the Society’s work. “While we are proud to be known as a leading supporter of cancer research, we also specialize in helping meet cancer patients’ particular needs. Last year, we provided direct, free services to more than 26,000 patients and their families in our six-county region,” said Guzman.
“This February we are thrilled to be able to celebrate the movies with fans nationwide while supporting charities around the country,” says Academy CEO Dawn Hudson.
