9th Annual Woman’s Hospital of Texas Labor Day Luncheon and Style Show
A stylish afternoon with mostly ladies gathered at the Royal Sonesta (formerly known as Intercontinental Hotel) for the 9th Annual Woman’s Hospital of Texas Labor Day Luncheon and Style Show. The afternoon was a packed house with more than 500 guests showing full support to the event that targeted to benefit the March of Dimes. This has become a tradition now as the organization has been celebrating fashion while raising awareness and funds that directly support Houston area moms and babies.
KPRC Anchor Rachel McNeill was the emcee for the event, while fashionista Cathy Fitzpatrick Cleary and Todd Ramos presented the style show with fall must haves. However the main highlight was the runway fashion show that featured various local stores. Fall fashion was in full swing on the runway as models walked the ramp in furs and leather jackets; head scarfs, a come back from the 1950s, reminded us once again to adorn the Audrey Hepburn look.
The Boutique Bazaar, a pop-up market set up at the hotel lobby featured great finds from more than two dozen of Houston’s hippest stores. Glamorous girlfriends got another chance to dress up in their fashionable best for this Paris themed charity event. Event co-chairs Linda Russell, CEO of The Woman’s Hospital and Rishma Mohamed, March of Dimes Guild President, Rishma Mohamed managed to draw an impressive crowd that raised $51,000 and more than $20,000 will directly benefit the March of Dimes, the NICU Family Support Program, at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.
Amongst the glamorous gal pals spotted at the event: Yasmine Haddad in her form fitted dress with a timeless black hat perfect for an afternoon style soiree. Also looking perky and cute was Sneha Merchant in a pink frock with a Chanel brooch, Anjali Thakur Khawaja‘s wrap dress suited her best. Karina Barbieri looked sexy in a green figure hugging dress. Also spotted: Houston Chronicle Fashion Editor Joy Sewing, Sabrina Midkiff, March of Dimes Board Chair, Darcie Champagne Wells, March of Dimes State Director, Maura Walsh, Joni Fichter, Lisa Frenkel, Dr. Tracey Samuels, Dr. Karolina Adam, Lillian Mejia, and others.
