Shop Till You Drop! LCA Spots the Best Dressed at the Mandy Kao Birthday/Fundraiser Bash!
When power gal pals Chloe Dao and Mandy Kao team up, what you get is a packed fun filled event. More than a hundred beautiful ladies from different ethnic backgrounds were spotted dressed in their fashionable best to celebrate Mandy Kao’s birthday bash and fundraiser event on Sunday July 15, 2012 at the Dao Chloe Dao Boutique in Rice Village.
Houston’s one and only Project Runway winner Chloe Dao happily opened the doors of her boutique shop for Houston socialite and philanthropist Mandy Kao for a night of shopping, mingling, and giving. Chloe was also spotted personally helping guests select dresses and accessories for their summer wardrobes. Mandy is popularly known as the very glamorous, yet compassionate entrepreneur who rocks her high power lifestyle in high heels whether its business or one of many charities such as Alliance For Multicultural Community Service, Asian American Family Service or her very own Mandy Kao Foundation.
Spotted indulging in some retail therapy were Andrea White, Miya Shay, Deborah Elias, Sneha and Naushir Merchant, Connie Kwan Wong, Hiru Mathur, Thao Marc Nguyen and Duyen Huynh, Latika Bathija, Raj Patel, Yasmine Haddad, and many others.
Many fashionistas thronged the fashion scene, and while most of them looked absolutely glamorous and stunning, Lights Camera Action‘s ‘Best Dressed Divas’ at the Mandy Kao Birthday/Fundraiser Bash are…
Duyen Huynh looked stunning in a blue YSL top and Emilio Pucci flare pants. She made a fashion statement and looked sophisticated and sharp, perfect next to her very handsome and stylish husband Thao Marc Nguyen.
Amy Sung was spotted right away in her very summery ivory lace knee length dress, a fresh reminder of a Victorian period.
Sneha Merchant dressed aptly for the event as she was adorned in all pink. Her tight fitted Nicole Miller pencil dress was appropriately matched with a Versace scarf and a Fendi handbag.
Deneice P. Leigh did not slow down due to pregnancy. She looked hot in a French Connection silk dress (from Saks) with Cara accessories (from Nordstrom). It is inspiring to see Houston women taking out the time to dress it up.
Last but not the least, co-host for the evening Nihala Zakaria was surely inspired by the colors of this summer. She looked cute and bright in a long emerald green dress with a white shrug carrying along the best accessory, a smile.
