Taking Ownership: DAYA Luncheon Gala

Lights Camera Action ‘Society With Ruchi’ 2012 Gala Series is very proud to support the DAYA 16th Annual Fundraiser Luncheon themed ‘Taking Ownership‘ on March 25, 2012 from 11:30am to 2:30pm at the Sweetwater Country Club in Sugarland, Texas. What other way to celebrate spring than support a great cause in style. DAYA is a non-profit organization that helps South Asian women in domestic violence situations. The organization promotes healthy family relationships in the South-Asian community by providing services that include counseling, referrals, legal advocacy, and financial support to women and children affected by family violence and sexual assault. Daya also promotes awareness on topics relevant to the welfare of South-Asian families through educational seminars, publications, and outreach programs.

So ladies and gentleman gear up for this sophisticated luncheon as it promises to be a fun filled afternoon with a live performance by Basmati Beats, an acapella group from Rice University and vibrant emcee Indrani Goradia. The dress code is casual chic or ethnic attire.

Ladies – for the afternoon luncheon opt for spring dresses, spring inspired sari or churridars, you can never go wrong with all the pop of colors.

Men – keep it simple, but make sure to throw in a jacket or sports coat.
