Pratham Young Professionals was started to instill the passion of Pratham in the hearts of the young professionals in Houston. “We believe that young professionals have the potential to assist in the cause through their skills, talents, networking and profession. It will be an opportunity for young minds to give back to those less fortunate in India, what was given so easily to them. To use the education they have received to make a difference,” explains long time supporter of Pratham and mentor Marie Goradia.

The organization started two months ago with about 25 active members with the goal to create awareness about Pratham and come one step closer to meeting Pratham’s objective of ‘Every Child in School and Learning well’. “Any young professionals between the ages of 22-40 who want an opportunity to make a difference are welcome to join us,” says Darel D’Souza President Pratham Young Professionals.
Pratham Young Professionals is planning to host three events this year one of which being the Thursday inaugural event. Apart from that they aim to target young professionals by hosting an Investment seminar in September and also a ‘Recipe for Success’ where people will get to sample exquisite foods from various famous Houston chefs with all funds raised going to Pratham.
