Painting for a Cause
The Man & Woman of the Year Campaign might be over but acts of philanthropy still go on. Keeping that vision in mind, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) volunteers Lauren Ludwick, Tim White and Laura La Rue, participants of ‘Team In Training’, organized an arts driven charity event. The 3rd Annual ARTcetera (ARTcetera III), benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), was held at Mosaic on Hermann Park.
More than 250 guests gathered to witness blank canvases transform into masterpieces that were auctioned off throughout the evening. Twenty-one local talents scattered all over the room painted live, providing a unique opportunity to engage the guests and allow them to discover their own unique art techniques and processes. The entertainment was non-stop as guests enjoyed Don Vaughn on the drums, a spread of food from Haven, Merlion and Oiishi and an array of summery cocktails.
Seven year old lymphoma survivor, Peter Tsatsaronis, was the guest of honor and talked to the crowd about his experience with cancer.
