Water Water Everywhere! VitaminWater Zero and Houston Magazine Party’d the Night Away

It was clearly apparent that Thursday is the new Friday for Houston’s party people. The Red Door on Brazos Street was eye candy full on Thursday June 16, 2011, when ladies lined up in their cocktail best to join VitaminWater Zero and Houston Magazine in celebrating the release of the annual nightlife issue with a cocktail party and fashion show.

Somehow the news was spread and the party was in full swing with a packed house, not the best venue for that capacity, however bartenders and photographers made enough efforts to play their parts well. The fashion and social scene was bustling. A very colorful creative fashion show, not to say that the guests too made an excellent attempt to dress up for the party. Bright colors like emerald greens, blues and corals were the favorites amongst the party goers.

The fashion show featured eight local designers who had a chance to win $1000 cash by creating high-end t-shirt fashions inspired by VitaminWater Zero, along with looks by Carrie Ann boutique. The designers displayed quite an impressive show featuring interesting spins on the good ol’ T-shirt. And the winner…  Sarah Jawda, creative director/co-founder, Jawda and Jawda. The prize was quite well deserved as the designer used a really interesting stitch to a regular while tan t-shirt with safety-pins used as an accessory.

Overall a fun event with specialty cocktails by Stoli Vodka and all’s well when the event is free.
