Houston: It was a star studded evening on August 1, 2008 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Houston, Texas where a press conference was organized by the CEO of Star Promotions Inc, Rajender. “It will be a historic event on Saturday at the Toyota Center and also my dream comes true”, says he.

Even though the conference did not start on time enthusiasm was at its peak. Almost after an hour of its scheduled time dressed in a white blazer and denim jeans stepped in the angry young man of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan. Followed him the dancing queen Madhuri Dixit also former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with husband and actor Abhishek Bachchan.

Jeans was definitely the uniform for the stars that evening with a choice to pair it up with different color shirt or jacket. My camera surely was in love with none other than the Big B who truly reflected to be the legend of Indian cinema and a pride of India. However Abhishek excelled in his job as a PR for his dad. His statement “Nobody will and I have told this repeatedly that nobody can or should even try to be like my dad that is Mr. Amitabh Bachchan” left the audience with giggles.

Further none could solve the mystery behind Abhi’s wearing those dark glasses all throughout the press conference. Maybe the indoor lighting was hurting his eye! Or it was an attempt to look cool or he just knew media would not pay him any attention unless he did something ..Hmmmm!

The “bubbly” Preity Zinta was missing from the conference due to a flight delay.

Soon after a brief question and answer session with the media fraternity the ‘Unforgettable’ spectacles retired leaving the star struck audience which consisted of only Indians lurking for more. People continued to hang out at the Intercontinental lobby for that one more glimpse.

The Harris County, Texas did their part. Warm greeting were extended to the team and to spice it up Ed Emmett, Judge of Harris County, Texas, proclaimed Saturday 02 August 2008, the day of the show in Houston, as Bollywood Day and his representative Neeta Sane presented proclamations to the Bollywood icons.
